Na'imah Saffiya

Na'imah Saffiya is a London-based artist, expressing herself through all creative mediums including but not limited to, painting, poetry and illustration.

Na'imah has been creating illustrative works since her early childhood yet first explored creative writing during her Wordpress blog WAVERELLA where she discussed personal experiences of mental health and mindfulness.

Na'imah has since produced written content for zines such as SUKEBAN and Inside a Black Girl's Mind. Her visual art has continued to develop over the last three years, using symbolism, magical realism and a vivid colour palette to communicate her ideas. During 2020, Na'imah enjoyed the privilege of working with ASHAMED magazine to create article illustrations for the publication's  'Blk Pwr' print issue with Wessex Scene.

This year, Na'imah's illustrative contributions were featured on the fashion brand, Monki's Instagram during Black History Month as a collaboration with ASHAMED Magazine.

Additionally, Na'imah has begun selling acrylic on canvas pieces and in May 2020, Na'imah opened her Redbubble shop NS4FFIYA, selling her illustrations as apparel and accessories.

Na'imah wishes to only expand her creative endeavours and seeks every opportunity to grow artistically. Feel free to contact Na'imah for opportunities to collaborate and engage.
